Canada - Freight Shipping and Transport

If you require sea freight to Canada, Atlas Forwarding offers a fantastic range of services for deliveries via sea container to help take the stress out of all your commercial shipping needs.

Whether you have a single pallet to send to Canada or FCL / Full container load, LCL / Less than a container load, a part load or a 20ft or 40ft container, we have cost effective options to best suit your business to business sea freight needs.

The distance between the Ireland and Canada equates to a distance of 3,550 miles, meaning transit times equates to approximately 10-12 days depending on final destination for your goods.

Delivering not only to the capital of Canada, Ottawa but also the sea ports of Halifax, Goose Bay, Corner Brook, Charlottetown, Quebec, Belledune, Shediac, Saint John, Toronto and Vancouver for example, our sea freight services are designed to provide our commercial clients with the peace of mind and the convenience of our extensive range of transportation, shipping and logistics services, proving we really do have all of your sea freight to Canada requirements covered.

Travelling via sea freight, your shipment will arrive safely in due course, however if your consignment is very urgent it is advisable to send your commercial goods via air freight to Canada rather than by sea freight. The only drawback is that despite being faster, it is of course, a more expensive option.

Shipments for inland ports & cities are offloaded at the major container hubs along the coasts and transferred to an inland container freight station via trucking or rail services. The cargo then continues to the customs warehouse at the city of destination, meaning the shipment doesn't terminate at the port of arrival into Canada, circumventing customs delays and expediting transit times.

This allows us to quote DAT (delivered at terminal), LCL rates directly to freight depots and ‘ports’ in  across Canada as one single movement.
