Most North American cities are inland or ‘land locked’, meaning they are not ocean facing cities like New York, Vancouver or Los Angeles and subsequently aren't accessible to container ship traffic.

 

In order to reach these major cities whilst continuing to offer a quick transit time and competitive pricing, we leverage the American ‘Multimodal’ solution, - piggybacking on railway routes across the continent.

 

Shipments for inland ports & cities are offloaded at the major container hubs along the coasts and transferred to an inland container freight station via trucking or rail services. The cargo then continues to the customs warehouse at the city of destination, meaning the shipment doesn't terminate at the port of arrival into the US, thus circumventing customs delays and expediting transit times.

 

This allows us to quote DAT Incoterm - (delivered at terminal), LCL rates directly to freight depots and  ‘inland ports’ in 48 cities across North America as one single movement.
