Groupage is the intelligent means of economically and reliably moving smaller shipments such as single or multiple pallet consignments over long distances.
Every day, hundreds of smaller regional transport companies collect and deliver freight in their respective regions across various EU countries. Then, on regular scheduled services, these companies, group their collected freight and bring it to centralised HUBs in Germany where the consignments are transhipped or 'shared' with other carriers at the same HUB, who then recover freight back to their own depots for onward distribution.
Each week, we make multiple trips to & from the Gateway HUB in the North West of Germany feeding Irish Exports into Europe and collecting Imports bound for Ireland from Central and Eastern Europe.
This service makes for the economical and reliable transport for smaller consignments otherwise not suitable for full or part load services.
